5 TRIMS, 2 Engines, and still 3-Doors!
Veloster 2.0 |
Veloster 2.0 Premium | Turbo R-Spec | Turbo | Turbo Ultimate
The base 2.0 model comes with a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine that's
paired with either a 6-speed automatic or manual transmission. It comes standard with three drive modes:
normal, sport and smart, allowing drivers to further optimize their fuel efficiency
and driving performance.
Move up to the Turbo R -Spec, Turbo, Turbo Ultimate and get a
peppy 1.6L Turbo engine that gets up to 201 horsepower and 195 lb-ft torque. Sadly,
Hyundai does discontinue the manual transmission option in the Turbo and Turbo
Ultimate trim leaving the base and R-spec as the only two trims to feature
manual drivetrains in the 2020 Veloster. But don't fret. The Turbo and Turbo
Ultimate do use a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission so you can still
switch gears like a manual in these higher trims if you get the urge.
As for its suspension and handling, the 2020 Veloster
continues to use premium MacPherson front struts, allowing driver's greater
control when traveling along New England's many windy roads.
